CODE BLACK: The Truth Part 2
A sealed lab, a tank of pink mist, and a hidden elevator to a place no one should see—our run-and-gun infiltration turns into a sprint against a one-hour countdown to total immolation. We gear up with scavenged Kevlar, swap weapons under stress, and bluff our way into sub-level three to confront the elusive Dr. Thorpe. Behind hastily closed blinds, his chilling reveal rewrites the rules: the threat isn’t airborne or bite-based. It’s a biocataclysm nicknamed “the rust” that hijacks the human appendix as an incubator, triggered by UV light. If you’ve had your appendix removed, you may be immune. If you haven’t, sunrise is the fuse.
When Thorpe slams a panic switch and initiates Security Threat Five, we pivot from interrogation to escape planning. We track down a new lab hire—the one still scrubbing a bloody handprint from her coat—and persuade her to help us navigate the maze. She points to sub-level two and a long tunnel that leads into the desert. The route is anything but clean: a tense run past armed personnel, a near-miss with recognition, a scramble for vehicle keys, shots fired, and a messy, desperate launch in a Humvee into darkness. Along the way, we weigh hard truths: a facility built to burn itself clean, a world where immunity might be elective, and a message that could save lives if we can carry it far enough.
Expect fast moves, sharp turns, and a balance of gallows humor and high-stakes strategy. We dig into deception as a survival tactic, the ethics of containment, and how a “useless” organ becomes the axis of fate. If you’re into post-apocalyptic science, survival horror, immersive roleplay, and cinematic tension, this chapter delivers. Hit play, ride with us down the tunnel, and tell us: would you gamble everything on a bluff and a rumor of daylight? Subscribe, share with a friend, and drop a review to help more survivors find the show.

SPEAKER_05:A gunshot. Oh shit, he's coming. Security guard outfit? Polyester melted directly into your skin. I hit I rolled a 15. How did I how did I get a shot?
SPEAKER_01:I bet I did not have a three. It was a seven and now it's a three. I scramble and I grab the gun. I got him. You got me.
SPEAKER_02:Okay, so that's taped up. I have no arm. Um now with his gear. I I know this sounds stupid, but I'm I'm detail-oriented. I will put the sleeve in my pocket, the empty sleeve. I will shove it into my pocket so it looks like my hand is in my pocket at a quick glance. And I got I got my feet bandaged up, right? I'm in shoes now. Yeah. He did that at the nursing station. Okay. So with all of the gear, I have the the uh Kevlar vest, I have his shirt, I have his helmet, I have his gas mask. Eric has it uh the other gas mask.
SPEAKER_05:Yep, the other restaurant are all suited up.
SPEAKER_02:Okay, we are gonna go. How much ammo did we collect from them? Did he get a full magazine from this second gunman for his rifle?
SPEAKER_05:Eric Eric was able to get a full magazine. You were able to get uh seven bullets from what you gathered.
SPEAKER_02:I got seven bullets, and he got another pistol, didn't he?
SPEAKER_05:He did. He he he got a full uh 13 rounds in uh in the gun he got.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, I'll give him um if I have any extra ammo, or maybe I could swap him.
SPEAKER_02:Give me the 13 rounds? Yeah, you should have more.
SPEAKER_01:If I have the AR, you should have more handgun ammo. Alright, I'll swap.
SPEAKER_02:I think uh I think I need more ammo. Let's let's trade.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah, good. You guys switch weapons now.
SPEAKER_02:So what do you think? I think we go straight down to sub-level three. Oh. I don't really know what we can come across. If we go down to level one, uh all of the gates, all of the doors and windows are sealed. I don't think they're gonna let us out. We're not going out the front door.
SPEAKER_01:Where is that scientist at?
SPEAKER_02:Sub-level three. We have a key card for sub-level three now. We take all of their key cards, but I say we make a try for sub-level three.
SPEAKER_01:I'm not gonna lie, man. I I hit I hit my pen while you were bandaging up, so I'm kind of whatever you want.
SPEAKER_02:Let's do that, but here's what I need you to do. As soon as we get down there, we're going to act like we're them. We belong there. There's no issue. If they start questioning us, why are we down, why are you down here? We're responding to the threat that was on level four. They took out the two medical personnel and we got them and we're coming to report. He's nodding. Yeah, that's what we're doing. That's what we're doing.
SPEAKER_05:Sure. Directly down to sub-level three?
SPEAKER_02:Directly down to sub-level three.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah. Uh all right. So you guys walk into the elevator, um, into the little hidden elevator behind the elevator. Uh, and you see all the floors under each button. There's a place to scan the card. You s you scan sub-level three and you press the button. Kajunk! The uh the elevator shuts and you feel a sudden drop and you're dropping really fast. Oh. And then you stop.
unknown:Boo!
SPEAKER_05:Entering sub-level three. I try to make myself look a little more composed. Um, as you guys uh as the doors are opening, uh, scientist walks past.
SPEAKER_02:He's like, What the hell are you guys doing on this floor? We came to report. We dealt with the issue that was on level four. They attacked.
SPEAKER_05:You don't report to anybody down here. You're supposed to report to level four.
SPEAKER_02:No, they told us to come here.
SPEAKER_05:Eh, whatever. I don't get paid enough for this shit. Walks away.
unknown:You did really good.
SPEAKER_02:We gotta find that doctor. How many doctors are in this room? We gotta scan, we gotta look around.
SPEAKER_05:You know, scan the room. Scan the room. So you you walk out of the elevator and you're scanning the room. You s it's a giant cave. Uh on all around the edges of the walls there are various walkways uh that connect to uh glass offices. Uh you can see uh various lab equipment everywhere. Um and in the middle of the room there's a giant tank full of pink mist.
SPEAKER_02:That's that shit that we saw when those things explode, it emits that pink shit in the middle. Do you see that?
SPEAKER_01:I took my mom here for an MRI one.
SPEAKER_02:Dude, you gotta get it together. They're gonna fucking kill us.
SPEAKER_05:Eric, did I mention your uh your character's name is Jarek? I don't I don't know if you caught that. I said you're wearing a jean jeans, a jean jacket.
SPEAKER_01:I did not catch that. I did not catch that, but that is hilarious. I know exactly who I am now.
SPEAKER_05:That's a uh inside joke to uh the listeners, uh that you won't know. I was in a band once. He was he was in a band once.
SPEAKER_03:Get it together. Control yourself.
SPEAKER_05:That's what you guys see. What are you doing next?
SPEAKER_02:Okay, we need to find that doctor that came over the radio or over the PA. Okay. Um You're too stoned. You don't remember his name. I was too I was in too much pain. We're gonna walk around, act like we belong here, and we find a different doctor than the one we just saw.
SPEAKER_01:Excuse me.
SPEAKER_05:I I grabbed the nearest person walking by. Uh it's a uh a female scientist. It's like, ew, get the fuck off me. You're covered in blood.
SPEAKER_02:Um yeah, that's what happens when you get into a firefight. Can you tell us who I'm supposed to report to? I just fucking started here.
SPEAKER_05:I'm sorry. Have you seen upstairs? Any any fucking person would know you're you guys are supposed to report to level four. The highest person with clearance down here is Dr. Thorpe.
SPEAKER_02:That that's who we're supposed to come and talk to. That guy. We just dealt with something up there that they told us we needed to come down here for.
SPEAKER_04:Well, the fuck do you want from me? I want to know where is he? He's down there next to the containment unit. Thank you.
SPEAKER_01:We walk away.
SPEAKER_05:As you're walking away, she's just like looking at her pristine white lab coat and looks on her shoulders, the bloody hand print.
SPEAKER_02:That's fucking awesome, Jarek. Thank you for doing that.
SPEAKER_00:I got it.
SPEAKER_02:All right, let's go to this doctor. Now look, he's gonna know instantaneously that we're not who we're pretending to be. So the second we go in there, we need to be ready for one of two results. We pull a gun on him and we tell him to sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up and not make any noise. If he's afraid for his life, he'll comply. Now, the more likely is we're gonna then have to fight for our lives to get out of here. Because this guy's not gonna care, and he's gonna set off every alarm, and the whole place is gonna come down on our heads. I'm glad you're too high to care.
SPEAKER_01:I think I got it.
SPEAKER_02:Let's go. We're gonna we're probably gonna die.
SPEAKER_01:He's going to uh we're gonna go talk to is he in like his own separate room or is this like wide out in the in the middle of the open?
SPEAKER_05:So when you walked out the elevator, you've seen catwalks everywhere, right? In the big center areas where you've seen it's a big tank full of the pink mist, um and that's like kind of elevated above everything. Below that, you there's a lab. Um to do where and he's in the lab.
SPEAKER_01:Can everybody see into the lab? Uh it's yeah, it's everything's all the walls are glass. Are we we're just going in? Are we being discreet?
SPEAKER_02:We're just going in. We're gonna go in.
SPEAKER_01:Okay.
SPEAKER_02:Hold on, hold on. Let me let me see everybody can see. It's a big glass lab. Okay, change of plans. I thought we were going into that office over there. I thought that was this guy. If everybody can see us, somebody out here is gonna hit an alarm. So what we've gotta do is come and tell him I need to look over your your uniform. Uh do you have a name patch on you? I'm checking his his uniform for a name patch. Does he have one?
SPEAKER_05:See a bloody smear on a uh name patch. The name is Finch.
SPEAKER_02:Okay. Finch. And what's the name on my my name patch?
SPEAKER_05:Your name patch is pretty pristine. It says Joseph.
SPEAKER_02:So Finch and Joseph. Okay. We're gonna go and try to tell this doctor that those two medical personnel who came up that when you said it was all clear, more came down from the fourth floor. Okay. And we were caught by surprise, and they told us to get down here and find out what we're dealing with and how do we put them down easier? You got it? I think so. Let me do the talking.
SPEAKER_03:Okay.
SPEAKER_02:We're gonna go straight into the lab, and I'm walking straight up to this guy like I'm a fucking pissed-off soldier, which I am, and I'm gonna demand answers. So we're walking in there.
SPEAKER_01:That's walking in there. As we walk in, I'm gonna kind of look around. Are there any blinds? Yes. I'm gonna kind of casually just, you know, walk over and start closing some blinds.
SPEAKER_05:Okay, as you're as you're walking into the main lab in the center, uh, you see a quite lengthy, very thin, um, short-haired scientist with uh glasses. He's not paying any attention to you. He seems very absorbed in the work he's doing. Uh and you're gonna be able to do it. Are you Dr. Thorpe? Yeah, I'm closing blinds as he's talking. Uh you say that and he doesn't respond.
SPEAKER_02:I walk up right next to him and I slam my fist with the gun in in my hand. I slam it down onto the table.
SPEAKER_01:Shoots himself in the left arm.
SPEAKER_02:No, stop it. He's hard. These are dual action pistols. They don't go off from dropping.
SPEAKER_05:That's so fucking funny. Um, okay. Um, as you slam the pistol into the uh the table, he uh he turns to look at you and he's uh what are you doing in here?
SPEAKER_01:What's with that response, huh?
SPEAKER_02:So we just came down from upstairs and we're watching these things explode everywhere. Now, they were supposed to be cleared. Why were they not cleared? What are these things?
SPEAKER_01:Wouldn't let me know when the blinds wouldn't you already know that? Let me know when the blinds are closed. All the blinds are closed. I pull out my gun. Get out on the ground! Get on the ground, motherfucker!
SPEAKER_02:I put my pistol to his head. What are these things? Why don't you know? Let's not worry about what I know or don't know, Doctor. Let's worry about the fact that your big beautiful brains will be scattered all over the floor here, and it'll be a big waste of all of your life if you don't just talk about it. Okay, okay. What the hell are these things?
SPEAKER_04:Okay, I'll Okay. What do you want to know? I want to know what they are.
SPEAKER_02:What did you do?
SPEAKER_05:Well, it's not what we did. It's what we can't do. We can't stop it.
SPEAKER_02:This has been inevitable from the start. And who authorized this kind of activity?
SPEAKER_05:It's listen, man, I I just I'm I'm just a scientist.
SPEAKER_02:Roll a D20. You better not fucking tell me I shot.
SPEAKER_01:If you hit a one, you shoot yourself in the arm again. Eleven. Okay, you don't shoot yourself in the arm.
SPEAKER_05:You don't shoot yourself in the arm again. But if it was a one, I was gonna say you shoot yourself in the arm. How? How is that even possible?
SPEAKER_01:My arm is completely bad technique, man. It's completely splinted up. Get better technique.
SPEAKER_05:Uh you hit him with the butt of your gun and he falls to the floor.
SPEAKER_04:Um he's like, please, just let me what do you want? Yeah, I point the gun directly at him.
SPEAKER_01:Really sh shabbily kick him in the thigh.
SPEAKER_02:I want to know how I can get out of here. I'm not gonna die in here with you losers.
SPEAKER_05:You can't. We're on a security threat four. There's no way to deauthorize it. Okay, speak English. When window thing goes shut, we can't leave!
SPEAKER_01:Okay, you should hit him again.
SPEAKER_02:So at what point is all of the window things gonna open up again? They're not. You're telling me that you all are gonna be locked in here forever?
SPEAKER_05:If we can't find a way to get rid of this, we're gonna go to security threat five. And what's gonna happen? Total immolation. Tot Total Emolation?
SPEAKER_04:When window thing goes shut, fire! Think of an oven, it's the only thing that'll kill this.
SPEAKER_01:I'm starting to see why this guy's alone in a room.
SPEAKER_02:And how do they have this all through the entire hospital? Has it already been pre-planned?
SPEAKER_05:We've When we found out about what this thing was, we we we built this place. We're trying to contain it, but it's too late.
SPEAKER_02:Nah, I'm not gonna accept that. We're not gonna die in here with you. If you're not gonna tell me how I can get out of here or how I can override the system, then you're no use to me. And if you're no use to me, then I have no keep you alive. Okay, speak.
SPEAKER_05:I need you to understand that what's happening isn't an airborne pathogen. It's not a bite, it's a biocataclysmic event that's entirely dependent on one thing. And and that would be our appendix. Everybody here doesn't have one, or else you've already turned.
SPEAKER_01:Oh, I I had mine out as a kid.
SPEAKER_05:W We identified this viral agent, and we we we call it corpusculum rubigenosis. You can call it the rust for human speak, as you say, Finch. Our research showed that the human body has a failsafe. Our organs are for the most part can fight it off, but the virus has a singular terrifying weakness, or rather a singular terrifying strength. It uses our appendix as an incubator. So anybody you know who has one is already gone.
SPEAKER_02:So wait, you're telling me that this thing is already outside of this hospital and you're still locking us in here? It's it's begun to mutate. I'm sure you've seen it.
SPEAKER_01:The kid?
SPEAKER_05:Think of your appendix as a pressure valve. It gets hijacked. And when the sun comes up, the UV rays don't kill the virus. It triggers a hypermutation within the appendix, and it ruptures and begins to emanate acid. Uh, we we call it the rust.
SPEAKER_01:I look over at at uh You buying this bullshit? Or I look over at his arm. I mean, I don't I don't know.
SPEAKER_03:And once the gas touches you, you turn!
SPEAKER_01:Unless you don't have an appendix.
SPEAKER_03:Unless you don't have an appendix. I don't have an appendix. Clearly. Well fuck it, lucky you! Do you have an appendix? I don't have to worry about that. I'm underground. I look up at the tree above us.
SPEAKER_02:No, you're definitely gonna have to worry about this, doctor. Because you're getting us out of here.
SPEAKER_03:What do you expect me to do?
SPEAKER_01:What's up there, Doctor?
SPEAKER_05:Oh that. That's a little thing I've been working on.
SPEAKER_01:I don't like the way you say that.
SPEAKER_02:I'm gonna hit him again.
SPEAKER_01:Thank you. Fools!
unknown:Okay.
SPEAKER_02:I don't No, I I don't think you understand, Doctor. You are going to be a human shield. So we are on sub-level three. We have key cards to sub-level four and to level one.
SPEAKER_01:I check the the scientist's pockets. Does he have a key card for number two?
SPEAKER_05:Uh you check his pockets and he does indeed have one. Um I take that.
SPEAKER_02:So where what is on sub-level four and sub-level two? Fuck you. Fuck me. No, no, no, no, Doctor. I'm the one with the gun.
SPEAKER_01:Uh hey.
SPEAKER_02:You might want to rethink this.
SPEAKER_01:Doctor, I saw this guy get blown literally blown up, and he's still walking, so I I would honestly change my opinion if I were you.
SPEAKER_02:I've been blown up and shot, Doctor. Three times.
SPEAKER_05:As as you guys are, you know, yelling at this this poor, poor scientist. He's so innocent. He reaches under the table and presses a button. Of course he did. I gotta put one in his head. Shh. Um Okay. Security protocol five activated.
SPEAKER_03:Complete emulation eminent. T minus one hour. So time to move.
SPEAKER_02:I put one in his head and we go.
SPEAKER_03:Okay.
SPEAKER_05:Right before right before you're like pulling the uh the gun on him. He's just laughing maniacally.
SPEAKER_02:We're gonna go out. We gotta go find that doctor with the bloody handprint. She's new, she doesn't give a shit. She's gonna want out of here.
SPEAKER_01:Okay, we step out. I'm scanning around for the for the handprint.
SPEAKER_05:Uh you see her in the probably like eight offices away. Um she's washing off her coat in the sink, trying to get the blood out.
SPEAKER_02:We run and catch her.
SPEAKER_05:Uh you get to her, she's like, hey the what the fuck are you doing?
SPEAKER_02:Look, we need your help. Like I said, I'm I'm I just got here.
SPEAKER_01:Do you wanna die? Do you know what that means? This alarm?
SPEAKER_02:That's I don't know, man. I just they're gonna destroy this whole building with all of us in it.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, you're crazed though. Whatever he was down there, that little mad scientist over there, he pressed a button. That's gonna burn us all up. So if you know anything, we could use your help.
SPEAKER_02:We've got key cards, we can get to every sublevel and back up to level one. We just need any help you can give us. Tell us anything you know. Or did you not know that they were gonna burn you alive in here?
SPEAKER_05:Man, this is really a drag, man. Shit, I know. I know that sub-level two has an exit. An exit? Yeah, a long tunnel heads out into the desert, I think. Okay.
SPEAKER_02:You lead the way, we'll take you with us.
SPEAKER_05:I mean, what is there for me out there?
SPEAKER_02:What is there for you in here?
SPEAKER_05:Yeah.
SPEAKER_02:My parents are dead, I have nothing left. So you want to stay here? What else is there for me? I don't know. A ch a chance. Try. Try to make a future. Do something. Use your brains to make something good of this. Help us. Try to fix this thing. Look, we learned from this doctor that people without an appendix can survive this. Everybody on earth can survive without an appendix. There's uh there's a known cure. All we gotta do is tell people.
SPEAKER_05:I mean, unless you're underground or hidden from the like a unless you're severely depressed and you're inside all your life and you'd never experienced UV radiation, you're not good, you're gonna turn.
SPEAKER_02:No, the doctor said if you don't have an appendix, you won't turn. I got burned by this stuff over an hour ago, and I haven't turned. You know what? That's because I had my appendix out. Fuck it.
SPEAKER_01:Let's go. Right? That's what I was thinking. Uh so we make our way to the to the elevator if it's still working. Uh the elevator is still working. You gonna go up somewhere?
SPEAKER_02:Sub-level two.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, we'll we'll head to sub-level two. And as we click the buttons and as the the doors close and we're sitting there, kind of in silence for a little bit, I'm gonna kinda you know, I I wanted to ask that doctor a question. Never got those MRI results from my mom, so I just I kinda wish you would have been like, do you have anything left to ask him before you, you know, just I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_02:I didn't think that he was actually affiliated with this hospital. I've never seen him here a day.
SPEAKER_01:I've seen my career here. You just you just don't know.
SPEAKER_02:So he's not an authorized doctor on the list. I know all of the doctors here. Oh well, you didn't know there were sub-levels. He didn't work on your mom. He didn't work on your mom. I hate you, bum.
SPEAKER_01:And then the doors open on the elevator.
SPEAKER_02:Sub level two. Okay, Doc, where do we go? Uh to the left.
unknown:Act natural.
SPEAKER_02:We act like we belong here, Doc. Just lead the way as if you're taking us somewhere that you're supposed to be taking us.
SPEAKER_01:I look very not natural. You guys are walking.
SPEAKER_05:Stand straight. Walks blood on her shoulder still. It's very smeared now. I'm biting my nail as we walk.
SPEAKER_02:There's blood everywhere.
SPEAKER_05:There's guys with guns walking past you. There's military vehicles, there's various people with, you know, talking and blah blah blah blah blah. You know, you're walking past and hey Finch! Dude, I haven't seen you since the academy. Uh what's go what's going on, dude?
SPEAKER_01:On special business. I I hold my hand out. I try I try to just keep going.
SPEAKER_05:What the fuck is wrong with him? Is he sick or something? Why does he sound like that? It's all high pitched and whiny. Just go okay.
SPEAKER_03:I don't think I sound that whiny. Also, he seemed taller before. I just keep walking away. Eh, it's probably fine. Keeps walking. Good job.
SPEAKER_02:Try not to talk. Let me do the talking for you if anybody else comes up.
SPEAKER_06:Yeah, they're pretty good though.
SPEAKER_05:Um as you guys are walking, you uh on your right side you see uh three tunnels burrowed through the earth. Uh they're very long, you can't see what's at the end of them. Um they it they're like endless um yeah.
SPEAKER_02:Uh are they big enough for a a vehicle? Like a Humvee?
SPEAKER_05:They are big enough for a vehicle, yes.
SPEAKER_02:Doc, do you think we could get one of these Humvees and take it down that tunnel?
SPEAKER_05:I mean whatever we gotta do. Do you know how to hot wire?
SPEAKER_02:No, they leave keys.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, they would leave keys in the in these.
SPEAKER_05:That's a very weird presumption. I I feel like I'd like that it's it's weird knowledge that you randomly have that they would leave keys in a Humvee, but they're locked away inside of a facility that's locked down.
SPEAKER_02:There's no reason to take keys out and move them somewhere. You would leave them in place because if you have to drive off quickly, you just get in and go. You don't go looking for keys.
SPEAKER_05:I I believe you, you fucking nerds.
SPEAKER_02:Get in a fucking car. I'm gonna tell you what. We don't have to take you with us.
SPEAKER_05:She pulls a gun out of her hip, aims at you. I swear. Well, I've gotten this, I've gotten this far. You're gonna roll the D20.
SPEAKER_02:I actually said that wrong. I said slap her. I meant to say like slap the gun, but I'm gonna leave it at slap her. 11.
SPEAKER_05:Uh when you go to slap her, her finger hits the trigger and you get shot in your left arm.
SPEAKER_01:Fuck you! Oh, okay. We get in the van, we get in the Humvee quick. Woop.
SPEAKER_05:It's running from behind you. Uh you check the Humvee, and there are no keys in it. You liar.
SPEAKER_03:Okay. That'd be that's only in your moment.
SPEAKER_05:In your moment of panic. You look over behind you to the left, there is an office that says uh keys. Office of keys. Office of keys. You're being ridiculous! Okay, security, but why would they have security? Okay, there's an office on the outside, there's a lockbox and there's keys. You can see it.
SPEAKER_01:I scoot them over. I have to imagine that I have not had the greatest past, and I attempt to hotwire this car.
SPEAKER_02:Alright, Jarek's gonna roll the roll. Roll the dice. And I'm standing guard with my pistol.
SPEAKER_01:I should have had you roll.
SPEAKER_05:Um, as as you guys, as he's trying to hotwire the car, you're getting shot at. How would they know? You just a fucking shot just rang out. He got shot in the arm.
SPEAKER_01:I imagine it echoed. I got a six.
SPEAKER_02:Okay, as he's trying to hotwire.
SPEAKER_05:I think I'm getting it.
SPEAKER_02:Okay, I grab the doctor, I pull her out of the the Humvee. I got it this time. Fuck how I put her against the Humvee as if I'm arresting her. I disarm her, pull the gun out, and I'm gonna be reprimanding her as if she's trying to do something shady. Why are you trying to do this? Why are you down here? What brings you here? What are you doing? Who are you working for?
SPEAKER_05:I can't remember what your character's badge said. Yeah. Joseph. Um, Joseph, what's going on?
SPEAKER_02:We heard a shot. This lady pulled out a gun and shot us after we she brought us down here. She told us that we have to go down this tunnel, and she got mad and just pulled a gun out. I don't know what her problem is.
SPEAKER_01:I'm discreetly trying to hotwire. I'm like keeping my head really far down. I mean like take take her up to sub-level four.
SPEAKER_05:Go back to sub-level four.
SPEAKER_02:We just we just fucking came from there.
SPEAKER_05:That's what we do with uh people to do stupid shit.
SPEAKER_02:Okay. Alright, let me finish uh doing what I was gonna do here, if you know what I mean. Can you give us a few? Dude, not cool.
SPEAKER_06:Yo, what are you what?
SPEAKER_02:I'm an evangelist. What are you talking about?
SPEAKER_04:Fuck.
SPEAKER_02:Joseph, I thought you were gay. I'm here to interrogate her. I want to know what she's up to. Your husband works on sub-level one. Don't make this weird. What would he think? Don't make this weird. She's here, obviously, doing something shady. I want to know what she's up to. Just let me work on it. Numbi starts. What do you do? I try to grab her and throw her in as hard as humanly possible and jump in behind her.
SPEAKER_01:I'm slamming the gas. As soon as I notice they're both in, I'm slamming the gas and trying to make it towards the tunnel.
SPEAKER_05:Just what the fuck? And he starts shooting. You guys skirt off, you're heading down the tunnel. Okay.
SPEAKER_02:Um, fucking roll, I would have gotten shot again. Is everyone okay? No, I'm shot!
SPEAKER_05:I look behind.
SPEAKER_03:I swear behind.
SPEAKER_02:That was fun. That was fun. I enjoyed that.
SPEAKER_01:I'm not convinced that our new companion is not shot and dying in the back. I'm already shot and dying. You've been shot so many times, you'll be okay.
SPEAKER_02:I can't believe you made you had me shot when I rolled a fucking 15.
SPEAKER_05:He got four and got grazed? You know how it's really bad. Did you see it? Eric, when you got up to go get something, you did you got up twice. I asked him. I said one or two. He chose one. That means he was character one. That means he was character from the last campaign. He didn't know that. But uh my whole plan was either you cut his arm off or you don't. And I thought it was funny that you didn't. Um, because the reveal was either gonna be, oh, there was no reason for you to cut his arm off. Uh he doesn't have an appendix, or I'm so glad I hesitated. He gets shot in the arm so many times, and it's just funny.
SPEAKER_01:That's what I figured I'm like, because it's big daddy motion. I can't imagine I can't imagine he has any feeling behind it. And a little bit of me is like, I don't know, maybe he mutates and gets some power in his arm or something. So I'm like, yeah, fuck it. I shoot him again.
SPEAKER_05:Shoot him again. Spoilers. Um you don't feel it.
SPEAKER_02:That was fun.
SPEAKER_05:But yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Um you guys liked it?
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, yeah, I thought that was fun. I got pretty into that.
SPEAKER_01:I think we understood the assignment a little more this time around.
SPEAKER_05:I I I was I was always always planning to split you guys off uh since the last one. Uh yeah, no.
SPEAKER_01:Is there's more role-playing this when then you both can control separate and I think we understood that this is not as realistic as we initially believed it to be. And um uh we can shoot each other in the arm multiple times.
SPEAKER_02:And shoot myself in the arm and get ricochets in the arm.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah. I mean, this your arm's just like a bullet magnet or something. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02:Although although, although I will say that was my fault. I knew I should have fucking searched that bitch. I knew. It and I didn't because I was like in a hurry.
SPEAKER_05:It's a highly secure like base, dude. Of course everybody's gonna have guns. Yeah. This is a great character for me.
SPEAKER_03:Just a stoner.
SPEAKER_05:So uh yeah, well, you know, it's the end of the episode. Alex, will you give them our socials?

SPEAKER_05:Yeah. Um, so who do you think won? Somebody has to win.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, I think I won. I got shot multiple times in the same arm.
SPEAKER_01:I yeah, well, okay. I was gonna try and and claim that I should win, but he did get shot a lot of times, and I think it was very funny.
SPEAKER_02:And I kept my cool.
SPEAKER_01:Although I like my MRI bit a lot, but yeah, that was good.
SPEAKER_02:Hey, I think my mom had her MRI here. Yeah, Alex, winner speech. Woo! I am the best. I am the greatest. Congratulations. Everybody wishes they were me. I am a wolf. That's my spirit animal. Alright. No, I thought this was very fun. Thank you for putting it all together. Uh, it feels like that was a lot of work for you, so I appreciate it. I hope the viewers appreciate it as much as I did. Thank you for letting me participate in this and that I am the winner.
SPEAKER_05:I think as we go on with this uh series, it shall be a lot more better. Uh it's my only my second time doing it, so you know.
SPEAKER_01:That was already yeah, that was already drastically improved from the first one.
SPEAKER_02:And I think you're gonna get two episodes out of this one.
SPEAKER_01:Oh yeah, that's is yeah, probably. Um I had fun with that. That uh as somebody who has DM'd before and understands the I haven't I haven't like really DM'd all that much, but I understand how difficult it is to put together a coherent storyline and to remember like information that all these characters are supposed to give you.
SPEAKER_00:Right.
SPEAKER_01:And I maybe it's because you gave me a character I can really vibe with, which is a stoner who um uh doesn't know shit. Uh I I felt very connected and like I it felt very like seamless. The the scenes made sense where we went and who we spoke to, and i e even like the scientists being kind of maniacal. I it made sense if somebody's willing to exterminate the entire uh facility, then it makes sense that he's pretty fucking crazed. It just felt very well put together and it didn't seem disconnected or anything like that.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah. It was uh you know, other than getting shot so many times.
SPEAKER_00:And that was great. I loved that part.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah, uh shout out to AI for giving me the scientist speech slash whatever. Uh I asked it to come up with a bullshit reason why uh in scientific terms why the appendix would cause.
SPEAKER_01:Oh yeah, I was all for that.
SPEAKER_05:Yeah, because that was my idea, because you cut your appendix out in the start, and it's like, why aren't you infected?
SPEAKER_02:Right.
SPEAKER_05:I like it.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, no, it definitely ties that in. It makes sense why that was happening now. Nobody like we still don't fully know what the fucking appendix is in real life, so you know what was what was uh what like grossed me out was when he said think of the appendix like an incubator. Yeah. I was like, ew. I just started thinking about that. It's gross.
SPEAKER_05:Uh corpusculum rubigenosis.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, I I was gonna make a comment about that in character, and I was like, I don't fucking know what that means.
SPEAKER_05:It's uh it's Latin for rust colored little body. Gross. I like the rust mist, whatever.
SPEAKER_01:The rust is uh a good name for the yeah, I like that it gives me like the flare, like that kind of vibe.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, it gave me the flood. The flood from Halo Love the Flood.
SPEAKER_05:But yeah, if you guys enjoyed this episode, make sure to check out our other episodes. We are pretty fucking dope. You can check out our last episode that we had, it was pretty fucking dope. Um Yeah. Um stay alive.
SPEAKER_01:Unless you have a decade arm, in which case we're gonna shoot it a couple more times. Now you stay alive. Oh please.
